On Friday 31 July, The Portly Pig will be hosting a 'picnic' featuring food from Realitea. Showcasing a variety of craft and cask ales, with an extensive range of canned craft beers, Sarita's food is an ideal accompaniment.

The meal offering comprises two courses, mains and a dessert served from specially designed cardboard boxes. If anyone has experienced our Thali Box Collection over the years they will be familiar with the 'picnic' concept, but instead of your home you will be eating and drinking in one of the finest taprooms in the country.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DISHES FOR THIS EVENT ARE VEGETARIAN ONLY - THERE IS NO CHICKEN OPTION!

The main course is a mash of two of our most celebrated vegetarian signature dishes from the Realitea repertoire - Aloo Tikki Chaat and Samosa Chaat - firm customer favourites - with a bed of chickpea curry. A feast for both eyes and stomachs!

Patrons requiring gluten-free can go for the double Aloo Tikki option, and vegans can opt-out of having the raita accompaniment.

The dessert will be a 'surprise' for each diner, the box may contain cupcakes - mini versions of Sarita's renowned sponge cakes - or a brownie.

• We will send you an email confirming your details within 24-48 hours
• Please acknowledge receipt by replying to the confirmation email
• Turn up on the night at The Portly Pig, 5B Kirkgate, Ripon, HG4 1PA from 6.30pm to be seated by 7pm
• Order your favourite beer or other drink from the bar
• At 7.30pm we will deliver your picnic bags to your party's table
• Enjoy your food and drink and the atmosphere.
